LEWISTON – Annette Y. Tanguay, 76, of 162 Meadowview, passed away at d’Youville Pavilion on Sunday, Sept. 26, after a long illness of lung cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on July 15, 1928, the daughter of Lucien Laliberty and Clara Lacasse Laliberty.

In her earlier days, she worked at the Hill Mill and later in life was employed at Bourque’s Market. Her most recent job was working at Holy Family Rectory as a cook for Father Royal Parent.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Meadowview prior to her illness. She was also a member of La Rancontre. She will be sadly missed by her friends at Meadowview.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald “Tank,” and his wife, Linda, Gerald “Jerry,” and his wife, Anita, all of Lewiston, and Michael, and his wife, Tracy, of Rochester, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Veronica, of Lewiston, Danny, of Auburn, and Lucien, of Rochester, N.Y.; four great-grandchildren, Heaven and Autumn, of Lewiston, Desiree, of Auburn, and Hunter, of Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, Gerald, of Rochester, N.Y., and Donald, of Sabattus; and three sisters, Dot Torgerson, of Rochester, N.Y., Constance Roy, and Patt Cheche, both of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Daniel “Lib” Laliberty; and sisters, Germaine Laliberty and Lorraine Gardner.
