TOPSHAM – Heidi Judkins netted a pair of goals to lead Mt. Blue to a 4-0 victory over Mt. Ararat in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.
Kasey Kidd and Mandie Durrell also scored for the Cougars (5-4) to round out the final tally. Ashley Lewia and Alyson Webster split netminding duties, as Lewia made six saves during her stint.
Skowhegan 4, Oxford Hills 0
SKOWHEGAN – Beth Seavey led a group of four players to find the back of the net as Showhegan rolled past Oxford Hills 4-0 in another KVAC girls’ soccer matchup.
Zara Saydgari, Becca Roy and Katie Page also scored goals for the Indians (6-1) to complete the scoring. Carly Evans made five saves in net to notch the shutout.
Val Seams handled netminding duties for the Vikings (4-5), turning away 19 shots.
Soccer
Lisbon 3, Carrabec 0
NORTH ANSON – Selay Matthew had all three goals for Lisbon as the Greyhounds shut out Carrabec 3-0 in girls’ soccer action on Tuesday.
Matthew’s strong offensive effort was backed by a solid effort in the net by Gabrielle Matthews, who notched three saves for the Greyhounds (6-3).
Carrabec goalkeeper Amy Campbell put up a valiant effort in the loss, recording 17 saves on 21 shots for the Cobras (1-8).
EL 2, Leavitt 0
AUBURN – Elizabeth Esponnette and Nicole Wotherspoon netted goals to propel Edward Little to a 2-0 victory over Leavitt in a KVAC girls’ soccer matchup Tuesday.
Olivia Welch provided an assist for the Red Eddies (5-2-1), while Brittney French needed just one save in net.
Jordan Beall handled netminding duties for the Hornets, turning away two shots on the day.
Mt. Blue 2, Gardiner 0
FARMINGTON — Caitlin Scott had a nifty day in net for Mt. Blue as the Cougars defeated Gardiner 2-0 in a girls’ soccer contest Tuesday.
Scott had 10 saves on exactly 10 shots to shut down Gardiner and help lift the Cougars (2-7) to their second win of the season. Tory Gray and Stephanie Smith were responsible for the two Mt. Blue goals.
Lindsay Thornton was strong in net for the Tigers (1-8), turning away 10 out of 12 shots on goal.
Buckfield 4, Averill 1
AVERILL – Candace Allen notched a hat trick to power Buckfield to a 4-1 victory over Averill in a EMC girls’ soccer matchup Tuesday afternoon.
Kasey Farrington also tallied a goal for the Bucks (5-3) to complete the scoring. Shayna Shackford and Amy Reauter combined for five saves between the posts.
Sarah Mack netted the Beavers’ (0-6) lone goal at 25:16 into the first half. Kayla Gerry turned away 15 shots fired in her direction.
