LEWISTON – Gloria O. Jones, 56, of Auburn, died Sunday, Sept. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center after a sudden illness.
She was born in Presque Isle, Sept. 20, 1948, the daughter of John and Alfreda Thibodeau Cahill.
She was a long-time member of the Auburn Baptist Church, where she taught Wednesday and Sunday school classes. She also was in the church choir and worked at the church nursery. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Herb Jones; two daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Samantha) Cunningham, and Tiffanee Jones; and two grandchildren, Joel and Destinie Cunningham. She also leaves three brothers and three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
