LEWISTON – Mona Knowlton Marsh, 72, died Sunday, Sept. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Chesterville, Nov. 22, 1931, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Knowlton.

She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1951. She became a registered nurse after graduating from the Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She was a ready-listener, a gentle spirit who did her best work quietly and without any expectation of recognition or reward.
