GREENE – A surprise party was held recently for Paul and Marnie Gardner of Greene, on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary. The couple was surprised to see so many of their family and friends.
The event, which was held at Eli’s Highlands Country Club in Turner, was planned by their children, Paul Douglas and his wife, Michelle, and Betsy and her husband, Jeff Hutchins.
A table displaying their wedding photos was enjoyed by all.
Mr. Gardner and the former Marnie LeBourdais were married on July 4, 1964, at Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanic Falls. A reception followed at the Mansion House at Poland Spring Inn in Poland.
Mrs. Gardner is employed at the Ladd Library at Bates College in Lewiston. Mr. Gardner is employed at AirTemp Control in Damariscotta.
