GREENE – Donald and Alice Gunn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 15 at St. Francis Mission Church in Greene. Party hosts were their three children and their spouses and grandchildren.

They were joined by local family and friends, as well as family members of Mr. Gunn, who came a great distance. They were Dorothy and her husband, Lloyd McEathron, of Wisconsin, Richard and his wife, Alma Gunn, of Wisconsin, Dean and Lores Gunn of Illinois, and Harold and his wife, Sharon Gunn, of Montana.

The couple was married at Holy Family Church in Lewiston on May 15, 1954. Their children are daughters, Debra Gunn and Donna and her husband, Tom Stowe, and son, Dennis and his wife, Debra Gunn. Their grandchildren are Justin and Courtney Stowe.

Mrs. Gunn is retired from Acorn and prior to that worked at Kaiser Roth, before it was Clark Shoe Co., for a total of 49 years.

Mr. Gunn was self-employed for more than 30 years doing small engine repair work and prior to that at Hudson Bus Lines and Blue Line for 14 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, at which time the couple met while he was stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station.

At the celebration, the couple renewed their vows.
