RUMFORD – Nicki Murray and Zachary Longyear were married at 2 p.m. on June 26 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Rumford. The Rev. Canon Henry Male officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Longyear is the daughter of Kenneth and Jeannine Murray of Peru. Mr. Longyear is the son of Jeremy and Candace Longyear of Portland.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin gown with spaghetti straps, fitted bodice, A-line skirt and pearls and crystals throughout. A Cathedral train, satin trimmed veil and crown completed her ensemble. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Serving as maid of honor for her sister was Rochelle Arnold and bridesmaids were Samantha Belyea, Rachel Chow and Karrie French. The flower girls were Peyton and Alicia Provencher.

Kevin Fox, friend of the couple, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Thomas Peters, Peter Baker and William Mayo. Curtis Rolando served as ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Eagles Hall in Rumford. The couple honeymooned in Colorado and Utah, where they rafted the Colorado River. They are residing in Smithfield.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Dirigo High School and attended the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in community health. She is currently employed as an educator by MBNA in Farmington.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Portland High School and graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He is currently an English teacher at Winslow High School.
