PARIS – At least one person was hurt Tuesday night in a crash on Mount Mica Road.

Details about the wreck were scant later in the evening as Paris police and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office remained at the scene. Early reports indicated that at least one person was seriously injured in the crash.

The situation was aggravated as an ambulance bound for the crash site had to take a different route because of a passing train. Police responding to the scene quickly made arrangements to close a section of Mount Mica Road.

Hours after the crash was reported, police remained at the scene of the crash, according to an emergency dispatcher. The number of victims and their conditions were not known.

Mount Mica Road runs between Paris Hill and Old Buckfield roads, a short distance from Route 26.
