LEWISTON – Final plans have been announced for the revived Lewiston and Edward Little high school football parade to take place the morning of the game when the Blue Devils and Red Eddies meet for the 159th time on Saturday, Oct. 23.

The parade is slated to get under way at 10 a.m. with the Auburn and Lewiston contingents meeting at the center of Longley Bridge and continuing the parade to Lewiston High School via Sabattus and Webster streets. The Auburn contingent will leave from Great Falls Plaza.

Participants will include the bands, cheerleaders and mascots from both schools. The ELHS players will be part of the parade as well as their parents, who will caravan to Lewiston High School. Also adding to the festivities will be the Kora Temple Cycle Corps, the Kora Krazy Kops with their paddy-wagon and the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl tractor-trailer flatbed. The mayors of both cities, superintendents of schools as well as police and fire chiefs and the city managers will be part of the event. Students, faculty, residents and alumni are also invited to march in the parade.

Also planned is an alumni game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Walton Field.
