LEWISTON – Citizens will have a chance to meet their legislative candidates when students at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College host two legislative candidate forums. All candidates for the state Legislature whose districts, either wholly or partially, are in Androscoggin County have been invited to participate in these events.
The forum for candidates for the Maine House of Representatives will be held Monday, Oct. 25, and a state Senate candidates’ forum will follow on Thursday, Oct. 28. Both events will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., with the forum to follow at 7.
The forum will provide legislative candidates an opportunity to discuss campaign issues with students at the college and members of the community. This is the seventh such event held at USM/L-A and is open to the public. For more information, call the college at 753-6500.
Both events will be held in Room 170 at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College, located at 51 Westminster St.
