AUBURN – The Edward Little High School class of 1949 held its 55-year class reunion at Lost Valley Resort on July 25. An afternoon social was held prior to the dinner, with memorabilia from the class years on display. A memorial board of deceased classmates, made by Dave Miller, was also on display.

Pianist Mark Croteau provided music during the social hour and dinner. He also played the school march as classmates entered the dining room. Cheerleaders led in singing the school song, “Onward Eddies,” and school cheers.

Following dinner, Robert Libby, master of ceremonies, requested that a circle be formed around the room, holding hands, as the names of 54 deceased classmates were read, followed by a moment of silence.

Greetings were read from those classmates who were not able to attend.

Class President Timothy Bernard of Harpswell and Vice President Daniel Moulton of California each welcomed the gathering and entertained the group with reminiscing.

A booklet was given to each classmate commemorating Squire Libby, the class years together, Gerry Leblanc who is deceased but remembered for his induction to the Lewiston-Auburn Sports Hall of Fame and many other events.

The Planning Committee members were Jackie Fontaine Culina, Diana Donovan Estes, Joan Rawstron Everett, Leon Fogg, Bob and Joan Boston Libby, Lucille Chase Oldham, Gerry Rousseau, Roy and Mary Newton Tassinari, Gerry Timberlake and Billie Thomas Wight.
