MECHANIC FALLS – The wedding of Coleen Jennifer Potvin and Verne Edwin Daskoski was held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 21 at the Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Mechanic Falls. Pastor Glenn Carver officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Daskoski is the daughter of Suzanne Guy of Auburn and her father is deceased. Mr. Daskoski’s parents are deceased.

The bride was given in marriage by Michael Cooper.

Mary Brennan, friend, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Emily Knox, niece, and Elizabeth Benson and Dulcie Cooper, friends.

Serving as best man for his brother was Raymond Daskoski and ushers were Mike Nyberg and Carson Carver, friends, and Jacob Daskoski, son.

A reception followed at the church hall, after which the couple traveled to Belfast at the Colonial Gables Ocean Front Cottages. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Maine Christian School in Scarborough and received a certificate for basic computer at Edward Little High School Adult Education in 1984. She is currently a homemaker.

The bridegroom is a 1976 graduate of Portsmouth Senior High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is employed as an automotive technician at Bonneau’s Garage in Lewiston.
