PARIS – First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, will celebrate the reception of new members at the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday, Oct. 31. The service will include worship with music.

Participating will be Berdina and Jeannie Whittemore, Terry Twitchell, Renee Wales and Forest Perkins, church organist. The medley of favorite hymns will be included.

Sunday school will be in session under the direction of Renee Wales. Child care will be provided.

The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Knitters to meet at Congregational

PARIS – The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the First Congregational Church, South Paris.

The program will be a silent auction of yarn, patterns and accessories.

Fish and Game dinner meeting

FRYEBURG – The Fryeburg Fish and Game Association will hold a dinner meeting with a speaker at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the New Church, Oxford Street.

Major Greg Sanborn, deputy chief of the Maine Warden Service, will speak about the many problems facing the warden service, including the reorganization, budget shortfall and the bear issue.
