SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. – The wedding of Janna Lynne Schmidt and Neal Ryan Trottier was held at 5 p.m. on Nov. 29 on the beach at Sundial Resort.

Mrs. Trottier is the daughter of Ed and Wendy Schmidt of Punta Gorda, Fla. Mr. Trottier is the son of Roland and Carol Trottier of Sabattus.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length white sleeveless gown with fitted white beaded top and a waist-length white veil supported by a tiara. She carried a bouquet of white lilies.

Kara Huling of Port Charlotte, Fla., friend, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Tara Dwyer of Walpole, Mass., Amanda Trask of North Attleboro, Mass., Terri Carbone of Hudson, Tenn., Kerri Kartel of Fort Myers, Fla. and Marla Pineau-Cyr of Fort Myers, Fla., all friends. Renee Cyr of Ft. Myers, Fla., friend, was flower girl.

Bob Wilder of Ft. Myers, Fla., friend, was best man and ushers were Andre DeMarco of Cape Coral, Fla., and Mike McCarthy of Tampa, Fla., friends, Darren Whaley of Honolulu, Hawaii, cousin, and Jared Schmidt of Orlando, Fla., brother of the bride. Marc Cyr of Ft. Myers, Fla., friend, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Sundial Resort at Sanibel Island, after which the couple traveled to Jamaica. The couple is residing in Fort Myers, Fla.

The bride received a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New England in Biddeford and is working on her doctorate in physical therapy at Simmons College in Boston, Mass. She is employed at Riverwalk Sports Medicine Clinic in Fort Myers, Fla.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in sports fitness management and athletic training from the University of New England in Biddeford and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla. He is employed at the Lee Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness with the Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Fla.
