LEWISTON – Elizabeth H. Blanchard, 79, of 120 Blanchard Road, Auburn went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Nov. 2, surrounded by her family and friends at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Turner June 21, 1925, the daughter of George F. and Mary Ona (Walford) Hickey. She was educated in Turner schools and was a 1945 graduate of Leavitt Institute.

On June 15, 1947, she married Ralph D. Blanchard of Auburn.

Together they owned and operated Blanchard Farm on Route 4 until 1966.

She was active in her community, belonging to several organizations.

She was a faithful member of the Turner Village Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years of Auburn; one daughter, Roseann Harlow and her husband, Robert, of Turner; one sister, Delores Blanchard, of Auburn; two grandchildren, Todd Harlow and his wife, Rhonda, of Turner, Tracie Balfour and her husband, Robbie, of Gray; six great-grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, and Nathan Harlow, of Turner, Ashley, Lindsey, and Zachary Balfour, of Gray.

She was predeceased by three brothers, George Jr., Walford and Harold.

She will be sadly missed by all.
