PORTLAND – The wedding of Sonia Crowell and Matthew Levitt was held at 2 p.m. on June 26 at Keeley’s Banquet Center in Portland. Anne Dumont, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Levitt is the daughter of Diane Crowell of Lewiston and Steven Crowell of Greene. Mr. Levitt is the son of Anna Notaro of Webster, N.Y., and Samuel Levitt of Henrietta, N.Y.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white satin and chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of daisies, yellow roses and delphiniums.

The two maids of honor were Amanda Pulkkinen and Kim Russell, best friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Triplett, sister of the bridegroom, Denise Sheets, friend of the couple, and Leah Fournier, cousin of the bride. Courtney and Elizabeth Lopez, friends of the couple, were the flower girls.

Serving as best men were Tom Olshan, the bridegroom’s best friend, and Samuel Levitt, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Jeff Triplett, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Jalan Welch, friend of the bridegroom, and Kevin Crowell, brother of the bride. Donavon Pacheco, friend of the couple, and Luke Notaro, cousin of the bridegroom, were the ring bearers.

Jeff Camelio, friend of the bridegroom, played the piano for the ceremony.

A reception followed at Keeley’s Banquet Center, after which the couple honeymooned on a cruise to the Bahamas. They now reside in Batavia, N.Y.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2004 graduate of Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y., where she received an associate degree in criminal justice. She is currently studying for her bachelor’s degree in forensic chemistry at Buffalo State College.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Irondequoit High School in Rochester, N.Y., a 2001 graduate of Monroe Community College with an associate degree in computer science, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Rochester with a bachelor’s degree in film and media studies. He is currently employed as a claims coordinator for Home Properties in Rochester.
