Med checks

RANGELEY – As a community service, Rangeley Ambulance Service EMTs are offering to go over people’s medications with them, checking for safety issues, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Townhouse community room.

The primary goal is to make sure no one is taking outdated medications and that the medication in the bottle is the same as listed on the label.

The check is free and confidential. It’s an opportunity to have questions answered. A room will be available for use to insure privacy. Bring medications in the original container in a brown paper bag.

If there is an emergency, the back-up date will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1. The new service will be offered four times a year. Blood pressure checks will also be offered.
