AUBURN – Danville Junction Grange 65 will observe Guest Officers Night when members meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Grange. A program on “November Holidays” will be presented by the lecturer. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are invited.

School yard sale

LISBON – Lisbon Elementary School, Gartley Road, will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Items include teacher and student desks and chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, shelving, cubbies, posters, flags, books, clocks, paper, bulletin boards, world globes, a piano, microwave, rugs and static mats.

All items are available due to the recent consolidation of Marion T. Morse and Lisbon Elementary schools. Items are priced to move, and no reasonable offer will be refused.

Guest day

AUBURN – Monday, Nov. 15, is guest day at the Auburn Art Club. The members will meet at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park St.

For the special occasion, the presenter will be Amy Stacey Curtis, recipient of the Maine Arts Commission’s Individual Artist Fellowship.

Committee members are Donna Bain, chairwoman; Jean Hathorne, Virginia Johnson and Dorothy Kern.

Save tabs

SABATTUS – Schools in Sabattus are collecting aluminum tabs for burn victims and are asking residents to collect them, too. People can save tabs from any can (i.e. soda, cat food, soup) and give them to a Sabattus student or to the Winthrop Federal Credit Union, Sabattus Federal Credit Union, the office at Sabattus Central School or call Linda Lincoln at 375-6961 and she can arrange for pick up. The tabs transfer into money for burn victims.

Seniors program

LEWISTON – Jackie Ouellette, assisted by Georgette Morin and a group of line dancers, will provide entertainment at the Holy Cross Seniors meeting to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at the church hall. After the performance there will be audience participation. Everyone 50 and over is invited. Membership of $3 a year is open to all seniors.
