LISBON – It took less than 10 minutes for voters to approve three articles at a special town meeting Wednesday night.
Residents quickly accepted Beech and Hemlock streets and Cedar Court, all in the Winter Street subdivision, as town roads. Twenty-six people attended the meeting, more than half of them residents of the subdivision.
The final article, which included updates to the town’s zoning ordinance, was also approved without opposition. J. Michael Huston moderated the meeting.
Town Clerk Twila Lycette reminds voters there will be a special referendum Dec. 14 on forming a community school district with Durham. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Ward I, Lisbon, at the town office and Ward II, Lisbon Falls, at the Morse School Community Center.
