DIXFIELD – The American Red Cross Blood Services, New England Region, is asking all eligible blood donors in the Dixfield area to give blood.
The blood drive will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the new Dixfield Masonic Hall. All blood types are urgently needed. Potential donors must be at least 17, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health. In most cases, donors may give blood if they are on medication, but should know the names of their medications.

WOW meeting
RUMFORD – The Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. Laci Gilbert will talk about China.
All widows or widowers in the area are invited. There will be refreshments following the meeting. The meeting is being held a week early because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The December meeting will also be early to avoid other Christmas activities.
