NORWAY – As part of the Oxford Hills School District’s Aspire Higher Initiative, Guy Rowe Elementary School sixth-grade teacher Bob Woodard recently invited parents to visit his classroom to share insights into their careers.

The careers ranged from accountant to working at a funeral home. Woodard’s students learned the education and skills needed to become an accountant from Bobbi Godin and a financial adviser from Michael Godin.

In addition, they learned what they need to know and what it would be like to work at Oxford Plains Speedway from Bobby Walker and Weston-Chandler Funeral Home from Liz Smith.
