POLAND – Poland Players announces auditions for the upcoming show, “Harvey,” from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22.

The play, about a man with a six-foot imaginary rabbit as a best friend, is a comic classic. There are parts for six men and six women of various ages. The auditions are opened to the community and will be cold readings from the script. Workshop canceled

LEWISTON – American Legion Auxiliary Second District President Edith Lemieux announces that Department of Maine Auxiliary Leadership Chairwoman Mary Ellen Field has canceled the report-writing workshop to have been held in Trenton Sunday, Nov. 21. A new date will be announced. The workshop helps the units with leadership and communication of auxiliary activities.

Holiday fair

LEWISTON – The St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host a holiday fair from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the main lobby, 95 Campus Ave. The fair will include a lobster luncheon, holiday crafts and baked goods. Rebekah lodge

AUBURN – Fidelity Rebekah Lodge will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Odd Fellows Hall, corner of Elm and Academy streets. Members will collect coats for the needy.

All Rebekah members are encouraged to attend. There will be refreshments served prior to the meeting at 6:30 p.m., which will be provided under the direction of Glendon Spiller.

Society speaker

AUBURN – Bonnie Lounsbury will discuss “Centennial of Deer Rips Dam” at the 7 p.m. meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 23, of the Androscoggin Historical Society at the Androscoggin County Building, third floor. It is free, open to the public and is handicapped accessible.
