NORWAY – Hazel Gurney Flagg, 88, of Naples, died Nov. 16, at the Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.

Born in Waldo, July 30, 1916, the daughter of Charles D. and Elbertie (Gordon) Gurney, she graduated from Gorham Normal School.

Mrs. Flagg taught in Casco, Bridgton and Naples schools. She was a member of the Edes Falls Sewing Circle and enjoyed knitting and camping.

She married Henry W. Flagg on July 1, 1938, and they resided in Naples throughout their lives.

Surviving are two daughters, Vesta E. Libby, of Naples and Cynthia M. Martin, of Naples; her son, Don H. Flagg, of Hartford; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 4, 1984.
