AUBURN – The Auburn Lewiston YMCA will celebrate its annual open house and Member Appreciation Week Nov. 22 to 26. The Y will be open from 7 to 11 a.m. Thanksgiving so participants can get in a workout before their feast.

The YMCA will offer the following activities free all week: exercise classes, Pilates workshops, open swim, open pool and open gym. The YMCA will also offer tours of the facility and provide refreshments throughout the day.

There will be numerous drawings each day, culminating in the grand prize drawing on Friday, Nov. 26, for a full year membership. Other prizes and giveaways include a Lost Valley business professional season pass, Lost Valley ski passes, hats, T-shirts, bike tune-ups, movie passes, bowling passes and ski/snowboard tune-ups. Anyone who visits the YMCA can participate in the drawings.

The Teen Center will be open for expanded hours of 1 to 7 p.m. each day and will have special events each day. On Wednesday, Nov. 24, they will host an Eating Healthy Seminar for Teens from 3 to 5 p.m. Other highlights will include a pool tournament, movie days with free popcorn and drinks, a cribbage tournament, video game systems and open gym.

The YMCA asks members to bring in a friend or an associate so they can see the benefits of membership.
