LEWISTON – Priesthood Sunday was celebrated on Oct. 31 at St. Joseph’s Parish.

Speakers were the Rev. Frank J. Murray, pastor of the Auburn community and chaplain at Bates College, and the Rev. Richard Senghas, former orthopedic surgeon and pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Jay.

Special guests included the Rev. Michael Seavey, pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Seavey of Portland; the Rev. Richard McLaughlin of Bangor; the Rev. Stephen Concannon of Brunswick; and Brother Irenee Richard of St. Martin De Porres in Lewiston.

Entertainment was provided by Joshua Hatfield, who played piano selections and concluded with “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

Priesthood Sunday is a one-day celebration of the American Priesthood by parishioners to show their support.
