LIVERMORE FALLS – Local senior citizens honored their veterans on Nov. 8, showing appreciation for their service to the country.

Recognized were Aurelien Couture, Athanase Couture, Joe Slovak, Jim Miller, Eugene Roy, Zeke Richards, Emile Richards, Norman Duguay, Gene Pomerleau, Jim Williams, Bill Chabot and Virginia DiTata.

The program included singing of “God Bless America” led by Mary Groleau and several readings by Shirley Couture and Shirley Toncer. Pat Knowlton portrayed Uncle Sam and presented each veteran with a memento from the club.

Welcomed back were Pauline and Norman Duguay, Eugene Roy and Zeke and Annette Richards. It was announced that Laurette Chabot was at Franklin Memorial Hospital with a broken a hip and wrist. Doris DeMillo is home following surgery.

The monthly Chinese auction was followed by refreshments.
