MEXICO – Mexico Public Library held a pumpkin coloring contest during October, open to children ages 2 to 12. It was divided into three age categories: ages 2 to 5, ages 6 to 9 and ages 10 to 12.

Approximately 40 pumpkins were entered. Two library volunteers did the judging. Prizes were awarded in the three categories. Each winner received a book and candy. The following children won awards: ages 2 to 5, first, Elisabeth Farrar, 4; second, Isaac Noyes, 4; third, Jacob True, 3.

Ages 6 to 9, first, Nicholas Billings, 8; second, Patrick Larsen, 8; third, Lindsay Marston, 7.

Ages 10 to 12, first, Megan Noyes, 12; second, Alexa Ellis, 12; third, Kelcie Virgin, 11.
