PARIS – The South Paris Post 72, American Legion, and Auxiliary hosted more than 80 children at a Community Children’s Halloween Party Oct. 30 with the help of Boy Scouts from Troop 130. There were many games and tours of the haunted house as well as prizes.

Costume contest winners were as follows: best costume, Rheaner Roberts; best homemade, Ezra Churchill; most original, Laurie Pinkham; scariest, Brenton Pinkham; horrible costume, Thomas Garey; prettiest, Chelsey Bean; different, Markest Holden; cutest, Vanesa Robare; realistic, Kaison Corbett; and funniest, Brandon Robare. All were given prizes.

Judges were Marilyn Ramsay and Mabel Dunn; registrations, Joe Cooney, Mabel Dunn and Pat Dyer; emcee, Gil Turner; game controllers, Shawna and Marilyn Ramsay, Scott and Sean Fogg, Earl and Leslie Rogers and Marguerite Johnson.

Assisting with treat bags, punch and cookies were Jean Lamonte and Virginia Gammon, auxiliary president. Other Legion members assisting were Fred Robinson, George Brown, Jim Taylor and Joe Lamonte.

Winner of the corn candy jar contest was Kathy Holden; Witch’s Wagon, Greg Ferris, Mark Williams, Jennifer Perry, Trevor Williams, Brandon Mack and Anthony Covert.
