WOODSTOCK – Curator Larry Billings spoke on area antique shops during the Woodstock Historical Society’s 25th anniversary celebration. He mentioned Bennett’s Antiques, Steam Mill Antiques, Mt. Mica Rarities, Mollyockett Marketplace and the Undercover Flea Market among others.

Town Manager Vern Maxfield was present to congratulate the society. Maxfield noted the society had a good museum, and people need to remember the past and still deal with change.

During the business meeting, Olive Risko read a research report on the Koskela Cemetery that was printed in the Norway Advertiser and specifically mentioned the society. It was posted on the museum’s bulletin board.

Members voted to have a potluck supper and exchange of gifts and cards at the Dec. 11 meeting, organized by treasurer Paul Billings and vice president Vicki May. Members are each to bring a “Christmas Memory.”

President Mary Billings provided an anniversary cake for the occasion and Annella brought dried flowers and refreshments. The Rev. Larry Hodgkins of the Baptist Church left old photos for the society to identify.
