LEWISTON – Lewiston High School Principal Dr. Patrick H. O’Neill announces today that Timothy D. Ouellette has been named a Commended Student in the 2005 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal to the senior.

Although they will not continue in the 2005 competition for Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than one million students who entered the 2005 competition by taking the 2003 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Ouellette is the son of Daniel and Rachelle Ouellette of Lewiston.
