LEWISTON – A surprise party was held recently for Robert and Theresa Turgeon of Lewiston on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The event was planned by their two sons and their wives, Robert and Mona Turgeon, and John and Tammy Turgeon, and was held at Rolandeau’s Restaurant.

Following the meal, a gathering of friends and relatives was held at the couple’s home. Tables were decorated with flowers and an anniversary cake with the couple’s original wedding photo was served.

Mr. Turgeon and the former Theresa Bouchard were married on Feb. 16, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. The couple has two sons, Robert of Florida and John of Bangor, and a grandson.

Mrs. Turgeon was employed at the Bates Mill for 44 years, prior to her retirement. She is a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Lewiston and enjoys sewing.

Mr. Turgeon was a lumberman, prior to his retirement. He is also a member of the United Pentecostal Church and enjoys watching Roy Rogers movies.
