RANGELEY – The 4:30 p.m. wedding of Darcy Riggs and Lodewijk Zur Muhlen took place on July 17 on the lawn of the Rangeley Inn, overlooking Haley Pond in Rangeley.

The bride is the daughter of Butch and Maureen Riggs of Wilton. The bridegroom is the son of Art and Hilje Zur Muhlen of Rockport.

Tristy Wolfe, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Tiffany LaMarre, cousin of the bride, and Rachael Estepp, friend of the couple.

Nicholaas Witsen-Elias, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man and groomsmen were Dave Hansen and Paul Estepp, friends of the bridegroom.

The bride wore a chiffon-over-satin gown accented with beaded bodice and she carried a bouquet of blue and white hydrangea.

The celebrant was Paul Charbonneau, friend of the bridegroom’s family, who officiated at the ceremony. The first reading “The Art of Marriage,” was given by Rachel Lawrence, friend of the bride. Susan Tehan, friend of the couple, gave the second reading, “Grow Old With Me.”

Many of the wedding guests traveled a long distance, including relatives of the bridegroom, who traveled from the Netherlands.

The couple honeymooned at the Long Bay Beach Resort in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. They are residing in Columbus, Ohio.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 1997 graduate of Castleton State College in Vermont. She received her master’s degree in business administration from Clarkson University in New York. She is currently a project manager for CGI-AMS, an IT consulting firm.

The bridegroom graduated from Yellow Springs High School in Ohio and received his degree in aviation from Ohio State University. He is a captain for a major U.S. airline.
