LEWISTON – The Auburn Lewiston Kiwanis Club recently held its annual meeting to thank Dan Goff for his service as president and to witness the installation of Jeff Haggerty as new president and Carol Edens as incoming president.

Goff noted the net gain of new members, the success of the annual pancake breakfast and the revitalization of the Lewiston High School Key Club, which now has more than 40 members. Goff was presented a Kiwanis rocking chair in thanks for his service.

Haggerty spoke about the importance of increasing membership and listed the new committee chairs: membership, Longley School liaison and library passes, Roy Ulrickson; chaplain, Capt. John Bennett; publicity, Rick Whiting; pancake breakfast, Goff, and assistant, Marc Mailhot; Key Clubs, Dan Goff; speakers, John Snowe; newsletter, Andy Choate; Advocates for Children and eyeglasses, Rosie Johnson; and Salvation Army bell-ringing, Haggerty.

Officers are: president, Haggerty; incoming president, Edens; secretary, Craig Phillips; and treasurer, Joseph Liguori. The board of directors includes the officers, Goff, Andrew Choate, Roy Ulrickson, Patti Gagne and Doug Dwinal.

Guests attending included Amal Mahmoud and Rebecca Bandura of Lewiston High School Key Club; Carmen Haggerty, wife of Jeff Haggerty; Peter Murphy of Neokraft Signs; Darla Snowe, wife of John Snowe; and Chris Bennett, son of Capt. Bennett.

Meetings are held at 12:05 p.m. each Wednesday at the Ramada Inn, Pleasant Street. Prospective members are welcome and may contact any member for more information on joining.
