EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Richard Jefferson scored 23 points and Eric Williams had a season-high 22 to help the New Jersey Nets end a nine-game losing streak with a 99-86 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night.

The Nets, playing their first home game following an 0-4 Western trip, had four players in double figures. Alonzo Mourning scored 18 points with 11 rebounds, and Jason Collins scored 10.

Emeka Okafor led Charlotte with 26 points and 12 rebounds, the rookie’s fifth consecutive double-double. Jason Hart added 15 for the Bobcats, who dropped to 0-6 on the road.

Raptors 94, Heat 92

MIAMI – Jalen Rose scored 24 points, including the decisive free throws with 15.6 seconds left, to help the Toronto Raptors snap a six-game road losing streak with a 94-92 victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

Shaquille O’Neal led Miami with a season-high 34 points, shooting 12-for-15 from the field and 10-of-13 from the foul line. He entered the game a 43-percent foul shooter. After Donyell Marshall’s tip-in with 2:01 left gave Toronto a 90-87 edge, Miami’s Damon Jones missed a 3-pointer and Marshall put in a follow show to give the Raptors a five-point lead.

Clippers 94, Cavaliers 82

LOS ANGELES – Elton Brand had a season-high 30 points and six assists, Bobby Simmons scored nine of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 94-82 on Monday night to complete the second-best November in franchise history.

By winning their fourth straight game, the Clippers (9-6) have their best November record since the 1974-75 team, playing in Buffalo, went 12-4.

Kings 98, Grizzlies 93

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Peja Stojakovic had 29 points, and Chris Webber added 22 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday night to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 98-93 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The loss was the Grizzlies’ second straight at home and fourth straight overall, three of them coming since former coach Hubie Brown resigned unexpectedly.

Memphis pulled to 94-93 after an 8-0 run, but jumpers by Mike Bibby and Webber in the closing seconds assured the victory.

Knicks 110, Hawks 109

ATLANTA – Jamal Crawford’s 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds left in overtime lifted the New York Knicks to a 110-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.

The Hawks, leading by one point, had a foul to waste and coach Mike Woodson was yelling that message from the sideline. But Crawford launched the game-winner from the top of the circle before Atlanta’s defenders could respond.

Pistons 93, Rockets 72

HOUSTON – Antonio McDyess had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Richard Hamilton also scored 19, helping the Detroit Pistons snap a five-game road losing streak with a 93-72 win over the reeling Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.

McDyess scored the Pistons’ first 12 points in the opening 41/2 minutes as Detroit jumped out to an early lead and never trailed, sending the Rockets to their fourth consecutive loss and sixth in the past eight games.

Spurs 107, Mavs 89

DALLAS – Devin Brown sparked a fourth-quarter spurt with two three-point plays and two dunks, helping the San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 Monday night to spoil the pseudo-coaching debut of Avery Johnson.

Johnson, the hand-picked successor of Dallas coach Don Nelson, ran the game as if the job was already his. Nelson was there, too, but offered only suggestions. This was the first of about six such training sessions Nelson has planned.

Tim Duncan made jumpers on San Antonio’s first two possessions and the Spurs were up by at least 10 for most of the first three quarters.

Suns 115, Jazz 102

SALT LAKE CITY – Steve Nash had 20 points and 14 assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to their eighth straight win, 115-102 over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

Amare Stoudemire scored 29 points, Shawn Marion scored 21 and both pulled down nine rebounds for the Suns, who were too fast for Utah and outscored the Jazz 33-22 in the fourth quarter. Quentin Richardson scored 18 and Joe Johnson added 15 as all five Suns starters scored in double figures.
