AUBURN – A benefit dinner will be held for the Bosse family from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Rack M Up Billiards, Center Street.

Darcy Bosse, mother of three and wife of Danny Bosse, has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She is undergoing intensive treatment at Central Maine Medical Center and will soon be transferred to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Her treatment will cause her to lose her hair.

So on a recent Saturday at Pub 33, 33 Sabattus St., Lewiston, many of those close to Darcy sat in a temporary barberchair to watch their locks pile up on the floor.

The pub was temporarily transformed as a tribute to Darcy. A 20-foot banner was painted with the words, “We Love You Darcy,” and signed by all those present. The following day an entourage was assembled in the hospital parking lot, in view of Darcy’s window. The banner was held high, surrounded by shaved heads and by any who wished to show support.
