PARIS – A Tree of Caring will again be available at the Maine Veterans Homes in South Paris. For the cost of $5 a light, a bulb will be lit in honor of or in dedication of those special people who have touched lives.

It is an annual event sponsored by the Western Maine Veterans Advisory Committee, and proceeds go toward funding a variety of activities for residents of the home throughout the year.

The tree will be illuminated at a 7 p.m. program on Friday, Dec. 10, at the facility and will stay lit throughout the holiday season. The Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Vikettes will perform Christmas carols, and refreshments will be served.

Lights may be purchased at the facility, 477 High S., or by sending a check made out to WMVAC c/o Florence McLaughlin, 8 Jackson Crossing Road, South Paris, ME 04281. For more information, call Florence McLaughlin at 674-2992.
