WEST PARIS – E. Shirley Bonney, 83, of West Paris, died Thursday, Dec. 2, at her home.

She was born in Hebron on April 21, 1921, the daughter of Delmar and Alice Johnson Foss Sr.

She attended West Minot and Buckfield schools and had been employed at the shoe shop in Norway.

She enjoyed crocheting and her flowers. She had a great sense of humor and she was a wonderful cook. Her home was open to everyone and everybody called her “Ma.”

She is survived by two sons; Corry Bonney Jr. and his wife, Marjorie, of South Paris, and Kirby Bonney and his wife, Lorraine, of Sumner; five daughters, Corrine Hammond and Bruce Abbott of Bryant Pond, Connie Coffin and her husband, Larry, of Bryant Pond, Bonita Witham and her husband, Carl, of Turner, Deborah Holtzman and her husband, Wayne, of Rumford Point, and Marlene McNally and her husband, Ed, of West Paris; a sister, Judith Small of Hebron; a special nephew, Tim Small; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her dog “Porker.”

She was predeceased by her husband, Corry Bonney Sr.; a son, Owen Bonney; a daughter, Sandra; two infant children; and a grandson.
