LEWISTON – The wedding of Amy L. Gross and Roger J. Violette Jr. was held at 2 p.m. on June 19 at the Bates College Chapel. Melissa Kelly, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Violette is the daughter of David and Becky Gross of Sabattus. Mr. Violette is the son of Roger and Lucille Violette Sr. of Auburn.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Kelly Gross was maid of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Kelly Desrosiers, friend of the bride and cousin of the bridegroom, Kelsey Bureau, niece of the bride, Sheryl Perkins, friend of the bride, and Tessa Manchester, friend of the couple. Stephanie Cornish, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his brother was Michael Violette and ushers were Michael Desrosiers, Brian Frees and Ernie Desrosiers, cousins of the bridegroom, and Josh Thompson, friend of the bridegroom. Luke Desrosiers, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Florida.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Oak Hill High School and is employed as a shift supervisor at HMS Host in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Edward Little High School and is employed at Roy’s Foodland in Auburn.
