LEWISTON – Lucienne Y. Marchand, 88, formerly of 560 Sabattus St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston, Oct. 7, 1916, the daughter of Arthur and Zelire Vachon Lacasse.

She was married June 15, 1935, to Oscar V. Marchand, who died June 17, 1968.

She worked at Marchand Moccasin Co., which she and her late husband owned, and also at Industrial Shoe Co.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish and Cercle St. Sacrement.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and playing cards with family and friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Sonia Grenier and her husband, Raymond, of Hartford, Wis., Pauline Gardner and her husband, Gerard, of Lewiston, and Joan Boynton and her husband, Rodney, of Turner; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fernande Rodrigue of Auburn, and Cecile Paraskevakos of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Flora Laliberte and Emilienne Labbe; and three brothers, Evangelist, Armand, and Gerald Lacasse.
