BUCKFIELD – In loving memory of all children who are no longer here, the Lewiston Chapter of the Compassionate Friends extends an invitation to all to join people around the globe for the eighth annual Worldwide Candle Lighting at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Buckfield Community Church, Route 117.
The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting is held every year on the second Sunday in December at 7 p.m. local time, for one hour in each time zone around the globe – a 24-hour remembrance of all children who have died.
Those who want can bring a photo of the child to place on the remembrance table. Refreshments and sharing will follow.
A Rememberance Book will be available from the Compassionate Friends Web site home page, Sunday, Dec. 12, for all who wish to leave a message in memory of the children gone too soon at www.thecompassionatefriends.org.
