LEWISTON – The Financial Aid Office of the University of Southern Maine will host an informational Financial Aid Night at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Lewiston-Auburn campus.
The informal workshop, titled “FAFSA 1-2-3 and Beyond,” will be geared primarily to high school seniors and their parents. Topics to be covered include the following: Why file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid; how and when to file the application; different types of financial aid; what happens at the Financial Aid Office; and how to find helpful resources.
The event will be informative for all students, regardless of which college(s) they may be applying to. Suzanne Frigon, financial aid officer at USM/L-A, will conduct the session and will also entertain questions.
