LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine will begin swim lesson registration for the winter II session on Monday, Dec. 13, for YWCA members and Sunday, Dec. 19, for nonmembers.

Swim lessons are offered Monday through Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings. Classes are available for all abilities and ages for 6 months old to adults. Classes may be half an hour or an hour, depending on level.

Classes will begin on Jan. 3 and are six to seven weeks in duration. Private swim lessons are also available by appointment. Adult swim lessons will be offered from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday mornings.

Participants of the swim lesson program must be members of the YWCA. Membership to the YWCA is good for a year and includes free membership swims and other discounted program fees. YWCA membership fees are child (up to 12) $25, youth (13-17) $35, adult (18-59) $50, senior citizen (60+) $40.
