AUBURN – A dinner was held on Nov. 4 at Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn, for Albert and Muriel Strong of Auburn, on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. The dinner was planned by their three children, Richard, Patricia and Linda.

Mr. Strong and the former Muriel Lambert were married on Nov. 4, 1944, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston. The couple met while Mr. Strong was serving in the British Royal Navy. The couple has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who are the love of their lives. The grandchildren are Michael Strong, Mathew Strong, Jill Turcotte, Chad Hall, Brian Andrews and Sean Andrews. Their great-grandchildren are Laken Turcotte, Macy Turcotte, Maximillian Strong and Dante Strong.

Mr. Strong retired from Union Water Power Company and Mrs. Strong is retired from St. Mary’s Hospital, where she worked as a technician in the newborn nursery for many years.

They have been active members of the community for many years, having volunteered for the March of Dimes until last year.
