LEWISTON – Albina P. Burton, 89, of Allen Pond Road and formerly of Bath Road, Brunswick, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, at d’Youville Pavilion.

Born at St. David, Canada, Sept. 10, 1915, the daughter of Adelard and Pamela Boucher Fournier, she attended Bowdoinham schools and St. Mary’s in Lewiston.

She married Clyde R. Burton on May 5, 1934 in Richmond. He died Aug. 29, 1999.

She was employed at Eastland Shoe in Freeport and Maine Shoe in Brunswick.

She and her husband enjoyed their retirement on Little Rock Island at Seboomook on Moosehead Lake.

She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She was a member of Fair Haven Assembly of God, Brunswick and attended First Assembly of God in Lewiston.

She is survived by a son, Sherwood A. Burton, of Jerusalem, Israel; a daughter, Judith Blais and her husband, Roland, of Greene; five grandchildren, Kerri Fishencord of Wylie, Texas, Todd Banaitis of West Springfield, Mass., Kristi Moran of Douglas, Ariz., Buddy Burton of Sarasota, Fla., and Richard Burton of Brunswick; several great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Richard Banaitis; two brothers, Isadore Fournier and Romeo Fournier; and a sister, Rosa Hunter.
