BRIDGTON – Melissa Lee Chaplin of Harrison and J. David Boon of Bridgton were married on Sept. 4 at the Bridgton Alliance Church. Pastor J. Edward Boon officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Glen and Amy Chaplin of Harrison. The bridegroom is the son of J. Edward and Karen Boon of Bridgton.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, marched in to Canon in D, performed by pianist Kim Bean of Harrison, the bride’s former piano teacher and dear friend. The bride wore a gown of satin with pearl beaded cuffed bodice and a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses set with shades of lavender.

The matron of honor was Heidi Harmon, a friend since childhood. Bridesmaids were Katherine Lotzgesell and Jessica Hohman, friends from college. Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Matthews, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Rick Burgess, friend of the bridegroom, and groomsmen were Tony Morrison and Emerson Freitas, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Aaron Silverblade, friend of the bridegroom.

A solo was performed by bridesmaid Katherine Lotzgesell, followed by a touching poem read by Chantal Boon, sister of the bridegroom.

A reception was held in Harrison, after which the couple traveled to Prince Edward Island for their honeymoon. They are currently residing in Auburn.

The bride is a graduate of Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Ore., and is currently employed at Webster Elementary School in Auburn.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany, and is currently employed at Webber Oil in Gray.
