LEWISTON – The wedding of Della Annette Welch and Matthew John Snow was held at 3 p.m. on July 3 at the Bates College Chapel. Sonja Christiansen officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jan and Mike Barrett of Lewiston and Mim and Mattie Welch of Alna. The bridegroom is the son of John Snow Jr. of Falmouth and Rachel Snow of Fort Worth, Texas.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Mim Welch, wore a gown of beaded lace with A-line skirt and train. She carried a cascade of lavender roses and white lilies.

Carrie Larrochelle, close friend, served as maid of honor and Glen Esman, another close friend, was man of honor. Bridesmaids were Mattie Welch, stepmother of the bride, and Jan Barrett, mother of the bride. Holly Snow, niece, was the flower girl.

Mike Barrett, stepfather of the bride, was best man and John Snow Jr., father of the bridegroom, was usher. Austin Snow and Travis Snow, son and nephew of the bridegroom, were ring bearers.

A reception followed at the Ware Street Inn.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Lewiston High School and is currently employed at L.L. Bean.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Oak Hill High School and is employed at Portland Diversified Services.
