AUBURN – Beth Humphrey, operations director for Twin Cities Air in Auburn, was the winner in the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club’s first Trip-of-the-Month raffle.

The prize is a trip for two to Bermuda or the winner can exchange that trip for an equal value in travel vouchers for another trip from Dube Travel, the club’s partner in the Trip-of-the-Month fund-raiser.

This is the first year of the Trip-of-the-Month in the Auburn-Lewiston area. The fund-raiser is modeled on a successful program in Canada. Each year, the club will sell no more than 350 raffle tickets; each month the club will draw three tickets. The first prize will be a trip to one of a dozen vacation destinations; the holders of the second and third tickets draw will receive the purchase price of their ticket. All winners will be entered into the remaining drawings for the year.

Tickets for the 2006 Trip-of-the-Month raffle will be on sale starting in September.

Rotary International is a nonprofit service organization with approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 clubs located in 166 countries.

The Auburn-Lewiston club provides more than $20,000 a year in grants to local and international charities with funds raised through the Trip-of-the-Month raffle, its annual golf tournament in June and the Great Duck Race in August.
