PARIS – An Andover man pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic assault at his arraignment Thursday in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.

Kurt Allen Thurston, 26, formerly of Woodstock, was indicted on Nov. 19 by an Oxford County grand jury on a felony charge of assault. A trial date has yet to be set.

He was initially arrested in Woodstock on Nov. 4 by Oxford County Deputy Justin Brown after allegedly breaking into a bathroom, and putting a woman in a headlock that caused neck and arm injuries to her. According to his court file, Thurston was previously convicted of assault on March 8 in South Paris District Court, and convicted of sexual abuse of a minor on March 6, 1997, in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.
