TURNER – The wedding of Maureen Charlotte Locke and Gregory James Viner, both of Turner, was held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 30 on the couple’s property overlooking a stream and waterfall. Michelle Spear, notary, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Viner is the daughter of Leon and Valida Locke of Dalton, Mass. Mr. Viner is the son of Alfred Viner of Ft. Meyers, Fla., and Jacqueline Shaughnessy of Sterling, Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a two piece flaxen colored dress with lace overlay. She carried a fall bouquet of roses, berries and cattails.

The bride was attended by her three children, Casey, Lauren and Christian Poulton. Dharma, the bridegroom’s yellow lab, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the couple’s new home and it was a Halloween costume reception. The couple is planning a trip to South Carolina in April.

The bride is a 1986 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton, Mass., and attended Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass. Prior to moving to Maine in July, she was employed for 17 years by the Sara Lee Corporation as a store manager and a New England regional trainer for the L’Eggs Hanes Bali Playtex Outlet Store in Lee, Mass. She is currently employed as a substitute teacher for M.S.A.D. 52 in Turner.

The bridegroom is a 1985 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton, Mass., and is also a 1989 graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in business and public administration. He is employed as a senior claims adjuster for Hanover Insurance Co. of Portland.
