PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – The wedding of Joy Britting and Alexander Pufhal was held on Oct. 9 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth, N.H.

Mrs. Pufhal is the daughter of Nancy J. Verrill of Wells. Mr. Pufhal is the son of Stephen and Christine Pufhal of Wells.

Erica Croxford attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Robin Lobb and Cori and Tracey Verrill.

Serving as best man was Peter Calakoutis and ushers were John Lobb, Harry Providakes and Justin Gifford. Spencer Hatfield was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Jarvis Center in Portsmouth, N.H., after which the couple traveled to Quebec City, Adirondack Region of New York and Vermont. They are residing in Portland.

The bride is a graduate of Hebron Academy and Tufts University. She is employed at the University of Southern Maine Department of Residential Life.

The bridegroom is employed at the University of Southern Maine Police, Parking and Transportation Department.
